Essential Communications is a dynamic public relations agency which works closely with its clients to achieve their individual goals. We focus on the travel retail/duty free industry - it's a business we know inside out.
Based in the UK, we provide a range of press and media services to an exciting portfolio of clients, ranging from family businesses to multinational corporations.
We strive to raise the profile of the companies we represent in the international travel retail media, to promote their brands, publicise their product developments, and in so doing assist them to maximise favourable exposure and, ultimately, increase sales.

Essential Communications clients cover a variety of product sectors within the travel retail industry including fashion and accessories, wines and spirits, confectionery and fine food, tobacco goods, jewellery and beauty products, gifts and toys.
Our portfolio also includes retail companiesagain specifically working within the travel retail business.
Some of these clients have public relations departments or contract agencies which handle general PR for the company but which overlook the niche global travel retail area.
Essential Communications also runs the Press Office for a major global event organiser handling media enquiries throughout the year as well as providing an on-site Press Centre at its trade shows to handle press registrations, journalists' enquiries, interview requests and exhibitors' press information.

Essential Communications was set up in 1996 by Rowena (Row) Holland. Row has 30 years experience of publishing and public relations. As a journalist she worked on a broad range of publications in the agricultural, catering, food, inflight and travel retail sectors. From 1988 to 1996 she acted as a consultant within UK pr company The PM Partnership, specializing in food and catering accounts. | | |
